The South Bend Chamber Singers presents the always popular Christmas at Loretto, an annual concert featuring new music for the season.
This concert begins the 38th season of the South Bend Chamber Singers, and as is tradition, a new work was commissioned especially for the occasion from American composer David Vess. Vess is a new assistant professor of Music Theory and Composition at Saint Mary’s College.
Other works on the program from the 20th and 21st centuries will feature primarily American and British composers, including works with organ that feature organist and accompanist Kevin Vaughn. The event will close with its traditional, candlelit Silent Night.
